I'M A HIGH SCHOOLER

So yeah I have managed to pass through all the obstacles in secondary school and finally got graduated! HELL YEAH BABY!
Now I have entered 5 Senior High School, which is one of the favorite high schools in my city,Bandung. To be honest, the idea of registering there was never mine in the first place. It was the idea of my parents. But eventually I said to myself, "yo dude, why not?"
I managed to pass through my first days smoothly. I made friends with people who came from different schools and I saw my elementary school friends again. Many of them are nice, many of them are jerks, but hey, isn't that normal? I also got a crush on a senior hehehehe.
My grandma wanted me to enter the Mathematics & Science Studies so I can enter Institut Teknologi Bandung (Bandung Technology Institute) which is considered as the best university in Bandung. But to enter there, you need to be as smart as hell in Physics and I know how suck-o am I in that study. Even at the placement test I hardly answered the math & physics. Although I did well in Social Science test because I have to say that my interest goes there because I want to enter International Relations in University of Padjajaran. I don't know the outcome, but I think I'll be a lot happier if I enter Social Science Studies. The only thing I  regret is my incapability in doing the Math & Science test and also having to split ways with my new friends after the new classes are formed. :((
WISH ME LUCK, GUYS!

My New Interest

Heya! I was expecting that this blog is starting to have dusts or whatever considering how long has it been since the last time I opened it. But yeah right now I'm in the mood to open this blog and tell you my new line of interest, Japanese Anime!
The first Japanese Anime I recognized was my current favorite, Naruto; it was a very AWESOME anime that tells a story of Naruto Uzumaki, a shinobi who was isolated by the rest of Hidden Leaf villagers because he was the vessel (Jinchuuriki) of Nine-Tailed Demon Fox who wrecked Hidden Leaf 16 years ago that took a lot of casualties including the Fourth Hokage who sealed the demon into a newborn Naruto who was orphaned that very day. Then, Naruto swore that he would become the best Hokage (leader of Hidden Leaf) the village has ever seen because he wanted to be acknowledged by the rest of the villagers. He befriended Sasuke Uchiha, the only survivor of his clan's massacre that made him bitter, cold, and arrogant, but he was the only one who could completely understand Naruto's feelings as they both grew out of childhood alone. Naruto also befriended many people and the anime goes on by showing the process of Naruto to become a great shinobi.
Once I watched this anime at a local channel in my country, but I quickly lost interest in it because the channel only repeated the same episodes despite the newly released episodes (this is so frustrating considering I was so obsessed by this anime once) and occasionally I'd watch it in the internet but shit it took a lot of my internet quota. So yeah I stopped getting obsessed by Naruto and took a new line of interest, games (The Sims 3, particularly).
HOWEVER, I got bored of The Sims 3. After achieving lifetime wishes there are no more challenges and the story progression of the neighborhood was lame. After that I quickly developed an interest in Fast and Furious franchise (don't get me wrong, I still love this franchise until now and I'm dying to see Fast and Furious 7) but after watching it REPEATEDLY for one whole month I started to get bored and that's when my best friend came and showed me the continuation of Naruto: Shippuden (this is the sequel of Naruto where 13-year-old Naruto has grown 16) and I thought: man, this is STUPENDOUS. this began last month, and so far I have finished Naruto's 366 episodes twice. I think I don't have any other life in entertainment than Electronic Dance Music, Fast and Furious, and Naruto. And from each there are the hottest guys: Zedd from EDM, Brian O'Conner from FF, and Minato Namikaze from Naruto.
Now I also like other animes such as Sword Art Online and Nodame Cantabile. But I wouldn't go so far by calling myself an otaku. No offense, but personally I dislike otaku.
Well, I'm done telling you my new line of interests. I hope whatever it is that became your line of interests are as awesome as mine. :)

Movie Review: Brokeback Mountain (2005)

Extra Large Movie Poster Image for Brokeback MountainBrokeback Mountain is an epic romance movie that won 3 Academy Awards and nominated for the Best Picture. I worked pretty hard to find this one movie but when I finally watched it, it was EPIC. As a matter of fact, I personally thinks the plot is the most interesting romance movie plot I've ever known.
This movie tells about a ranch hand named Ennis del Mar who met rodeo cowboy Jack Twist on their summer herding sheep job up on Brokeback Mountain. At first, they both acted awkward and all until they finally made a particular friendship. One night, Ennis was too drunk to go back herding the sheep and stayed with Jack at the camp, where they kissed (I don't know what happened next because I skipped this mature part haha).
Even though at first neither of Ennis or Jack admitted their loves toward each other, they eventually did and built a strong bond together. When the summer job ended, Ennis and Jack separated their ways and moved on by getting married and having children. But when Jack sent a postcard to Ennis after four years, the real complication began and the true power of love was shown.
This movie is full with BRILLIANT ELEMENTS; plot, conflicts, love, etc. The bond between Ennis and Jack was really sympathetic and unique (as a matter of fact right now I'm not too disgusted towards bisexual people after watching this movie). Even though this movie doesn't make me cry as hard as I did when I watched Titanic because I was a little disgusted considering they were gays, I finally realized that Brokeback Mountain totally moved my heart; both the sad ending and how others treat bisexual people even though they have rights to do whatever they want. The point is, if you're really into romance movies who aren't cheap, all-about-sex (gross), and the one that really moves your heart, you gotta find this movie and watch this.

Book Review: "Insomnia" by Stephen King

So I know how lame am I because I just read Stephen King's Insomnia 3 days ago considering how awesome the book was and also the writer (Stephen King has been officially titled as the king of horror novels and still, nobody could beat him). My mom picked the book from the library of a  hotel she worked in and she said she chose the book because the title was pretty attractive, and the inside of the book was so freaking AWESOME.
The book mostly seen in the perspective of 70-year-old Ralph Roberts who suffered insomnia since his wife, Carolyn, died of cancer. Even his best friend, Bill McGovern, and his supposedly crush, Lois Chasse, couldn't help him through it. Ralph realized that he should probably go to his doctor, dr. Litchfield, but after he remembered how dr. Lichfield failed to diagnose Carolyn's tumor soon, Ralph had a personal hatred towards him and refused to go to him.
After Carolyn's death, Ralph also noticed something went wrong with his nice neighbor, Edward "Ed" Deepneau who went psychotic and beat his wife, Helen, brutally. He was a member of an organization that held a protest towards WomanCare who held an abortion program.
One day, Ralph went to a drugstore to buy some sleeping pills when he met Joe Wyzer who had a lot of experience with insomnia. He said people who suffered insomnia would experience something called "Hyper-reality". When Ralph began to see weird colored auras from people and some kind of balloon rope above their heads, also 3 little bald doctors who looked like dolls in front of his neighbor's house in 3 in the morning, Ralph believed it was the Hyper-reality, although it wasn't and Ralph realized he was a part of a plan that put 2.000 lives at stake.
Overall, this book was pretty much amazing. Even though there were no scary ghosts who floated around, the detail description of the evil third bald doctor, Atropos, gave pretty much goosebumps in night. The storyline was nice, the ending was unpredictably sad and epic at the same time, and the characters (protagonists and antagonists) were described with such details so the readers won't find it hard to imagine. This book was nominated for the Bram Stoker's Award but it didn't win, surprisingly. If it was made into a movie it'd be a pretty good movie, like Carrie. Although, to make a movie out of this book would require a nice special effects or it'll turn out as if it's a cheap movie like Bag of Bones.
If you're looking for a good horror read that have a quality elements in it, trust me, buy this book. Even though I finished it in 2 weeks (normally I'd finish 500 pages of novels in 4 days) because of my exam and several parts of the book aren't so clear so I gotta read it twice, it's a nice holiday friend.
